I write about whisky and want to review Eiktyrne.

I write about whisky

and want to review Eiktyrne.

May I get a sample?

Yes, you can - if we have samples available. We only set aside a limited number of samples from every batch. Please send us an email at martin@detnorskebrenneri.no with a few words including who you are and where you publish your reviews.

Why don’t you state age on your

latest editions of Eiktyrne?

We will, on future editions. Our releases so far are fairly young, but they are getting older by the minute in the casks. Quadruple Batch II contains whisky older than 6 years, but also a smaller amount of whisky just above 3 years old. We’re slowly getting there, day by day.

Is Eiktyrne available
outside of Norway?

For the moment we only distribute Eiktyrne Whisky in Norway. Our latest edition, Quadruple Batch II, won a tender from the Norwegian Wine Monopoly and they ordered every bottle from the complete batch. Starting in 2021, Eiktyrne whisky will be available in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Germany.

Is Eiktyrne available for Norwegian on-trade?

Yes, it is. So far, we produce a very limited number of bottles that quickly sells out. Check with your local distributor or contact our on-trade partners at Malt through bernard@malt.no

Is it possible to buy
a private cask?

No, at the moment we do not sell single casks privately, to people or companies. We love our casks and they work very hard for us, so we won’t let any of them go. We are still a small, handcrafted distillery, but as we grow this might be possible in the future.

Do you work with
independent bottlers?

No, not at this point. It might be possible in the future.

May I come and visit the distillery in Norway?

Yes, normally you are very welcome to book a tour at the distillery. But due to the pandemic we are closed for visitors until further notice. Biannually we have a Whisky and Aquavit Festival here at the distillery in the summer break as well. Look forward to seeing you here in Grimstad soon, either at a guided tour or at our summer festival. But for now – stay safe and take care of each other.

May I come and visit the distillery in Norway?

Yes, you are very welcome here, but unfortunately not in 2020 at least. Maybe we’ll open again in 2021, but we’ll have to wait and see. We are closed for visitors as long as Covid-19 is a threat, for our safety and yours. Biannually we have a Whisky and Aquavit Festival here at the distillery in the summer break as well, but it was cancelled this year due to Covid-19. We look forward to see you here in Grimstad in the near future, either at a guided tour or at our summer festival. But for now – stay safe and limit your social activity.
